Authentication
When you buy a designer piece on ThriftEd, you should never have to wonder if it's real. Every designer item is authenticated before it's listed.
Our process
- Curator inspection. The curator checks construction, hardware, stitching, date codes and serial numbers.
- Third-party verification. Designer items are sent to an independent authentication partner for a final check.
- Physical certificate. Verified pieces ship with an authentication certificate in the box.
- Documented condition. Every piece is photographed in detail so you know exactly what you're getting.
The look for the badge
On product pages and curator closets, authenticated pieces carry an Authenticated badge. If a designer item doesn't have one, it hasn't completed verification β and we won't sell it as authentic.
Our guarantee
If any item ever sold as authentic is found to be inauthentic, you get a full refund β no questions asked. That's covered by Buyer Protection.
